About tapered sticks
Is the one end a senior size and the other a junior? Like a senior plug and a junior blade (or the other way around)

No. The senior shaft is only a senior. The flex, length, and thickness are still senior. The tapper refers to the blade end of the shaft thinning out focusing and lowering the flex point of the stick with the blade in it. The shaft would take a senior tapper blade and would still take a senior butt end.
