Customer Questions & Answers for
Bauer CUSTOM Nexus 600 Ice Skates

The Bauer Nexus 600 Ice Skates move you into a strong, highly competitive mid-level boot. These skates are lightweight, strong, and play well above their pay-level. The lightweight boot is comprised of a variable stiffness compression molded EVA foam quarter package that is wrapped in a high performance nylon. By varying the stiffness, Bauer gives you the best of both worlds - A stiff boot where you need (surrounding the ankle) and flexible where you don't (where your ankle becomes the foot). This allows the skate to load energy when flexed yet still keeps your ankles fully supported and locked in.A hydrophobic performance woven liner cradles your feet and keeps germs at bay. While the patented pro-integrated heel/ankle support helps to lock the foot in place and increases energy transfer from foot to ice. Heat moldable Anaform ankle pads wrap the foot and ankle in custom fit comfort and speed up the break-in time. A heavyweight 48oz 2-piece felt tongue with molded metatarsal guard protects the forefoot from impact. FormFit+ footbeds with grip stabilizers reduce foot slippage within the boot while also wicking moisture away from the skin. A full carbon fiber outsole directly translates movement to the ice and connects to the TUUK Lightspeed 2 holder and super stainless runners that round out the package nicely.

New skates do not come pre-sharpened. You can have them sharpened and baked for free at any Total Hockey showing your reciept. You should be good with a size 9. The general rule is down a size to a size and a half from your shoe size. That is usually based on personal preference and comfort.
