Customer Questions & Answers for
Easton Mako Shinguard

Your leg is made up of four bones to assist in getting you moving quicker, allowing more bends. Your shin guards should be able to reflect that same type of movement to keep you moving at a fast pace, all the time. The Easton Mako Shin Guards are composed of three pieces, including a thicker and stiffer plastic central shin cap that will protect you from speeding pucks and hard slashes. The injected lateral calf wrap is a relatively thin plastic that will optimize your overall flexibility but keep the weight at a minimum. The Mako Shin Guards also include an anatomic knee guard, which fits the basic contours of your knee to keep you comfortable and flexible. The ergonomic shin allows your shin and knee to sit very deep while maintaining a high level of comfortability. The shin guard shell is cut up at the bottom to maximize stride length without restriction. The kneecap provides you with greater lateral support while locking the knee into proper position. Taping becomes easier as well as the tapeline just below the knee allows the tape to rest evenly, resulting in a secure fit.The liner is removable, making it easy to clean either by hand or in the washing machine. Ventilation is important when playing in those long contests, so Easton has included a line of steady airflow through the liner to keep you at top speed. The micro-mesh comfort liner will also wick away moisture to keep your leg dryer. One inch nylon straps under the back of the knee promote an even steadier fit while the wide tapered neoprene strap secures around the middle of your calf.
