The "Large" size will fit any adult goalie skate (size 6 and larger, up to a size 12). If you have a youth goal skate, then I would opt for the medium size, and the medium size should work for skate sizes 1-5.5.

It is not recommended to wear the Tuff Terry skate guards outside. There are designed for protecting the steel as well as the edge on your skates. If you are looking for a skate guard that can be used while actually having the skates on, then you may want to try the Pro Guard 7070 skate guards.
