Hey, im just wondering what helmet would you prefer?
Hey what kind of helmet would you prefer for a guy who is going into competitive hockey for the first year. A Reebok 8k combo, Bauer 5100 combo, or Bauer 7500 combo?

The 8K has been very popular, given the fact it was the top of the line last year for Reebok. However, with limited quantity remaining in that, I would prefer the 7500. It only comes second to the 9900 in the North American line and has been a very hot seller for players of all levels. The 5100 is also a great helmet for the price, but would probably be more fitting for a non-checking, novice level.

Helmets really dont offer any guarantees of preventing a concussion. The 5100 is CSA, HECC, CE certified. It's great for pickup or beginning levels of play and has a triple-density liner with HX-SORB padding and comfort foam to help protect the player.
