The best way to break a catch glove in is to....
Find some pucks or baseballs or something to fill the glove with and then close the glove all the way and tie a hockey lace around it. Let it sit overnight then when you untie it, pull the glove wide open and close it and repeat many times. You might want to do this every night for a week or two until it is broken in to the goalie's liking.

Also, never push the pocket of the glove down as this does nothing to break it in and ultimately warps the top lip of the glove making it weaker. For some reason, people seem to think it breaks the glove in and it does not.
