The biggest difference between the two masks is in the shell construction. The NME5 is made of lexan, which is a polycarbonate, high impact plastic. The NME7 is made of fiberglass and with Kevlar reinforcement in the forehead and chin areas. The NME7 will also have better interior foams as well as a stainless steel cage.

The NME 9 is constructed using fiberglass, carbon fiber, kevlar and titanium (forehead and chin areas). It has a triple density liner, including a gel liner for maximum comfort. It is a pro level mask.

Then NME 7 is made of fiberglass and carbon fiber, with kevlar in the forehead and chin. It also has a similar foam layup as the NME 9. Weight will be comparable to the NME 9 as well.

Only you can make the judgement as to whether one mask will fit your situation better than another mask.
