Customer Questions & Answers for
CASCADE M11 Combo

Concussions have a natural born enemy in the Cascade M11 Helmet. A revolutionary liner system, dubbed Seven Technology, provides the protection of two helmets in one by dispersing impacts laterally and resetting immediately for additional impacts. Combined, this gives you one of the most advanced and protective helmets available today. And if that weren't enough, it's great looking too. * Seven Technology liner system utilizes a ground-breaking impact attenuation system tuned to absorb impact using lateral displacement * Seven Technology behaves like two helmets in one one for catastrophic hits and one for concussions * Within seconds, the liner completely resets to ready for the next impact * Total reset capability is proven to perform better than EPP (the foam liner in standard hockey helmets) on successive impacts * Mono 90 shell offers a lightweight stream-lined design * 90/10 shell configuration is lighter, faster, stronger, and reduces direct energy transfer * Dynamic system provides a lower neck adjustment that eliminates pressure points * Ratchet system for tool-free size adjustments * 20 Air vents for maximum air flow * HECC and CSA certified cage

Question
M11 vs the rest
Is the M11 better than the Bauer, Easton, and Reebok helmets at preventing concussions, or all they just about the same?

The answer to this question is very subjective; from my own personal experience the M11 Pro does an exceptional job protecting the head and assisting in the prevention of concussions. I found the M11 to adjust and fit the contours of my head much better than the Bauer 9900 and the Reebok 11K (I own both as well). This exceptional fit, along with the Seven Technology liner system, in my opinion, makes the M11 Pro my favorite and most trusting helmet when it comes to the safety of my head. The other brands top products may fit others much better than they do for me which can give an enhanced level of protection.

Fit and comfort are first priority, if it does not fit properly and comfortably, then it does not matter which helmet you buy. Assuming a proper fit, the science behind this helmet is based on absorbing and diffusing first/second impact energy in a way no possible with traditional helmets. In my opinion there is not a better helmet, but I am sure no helmet is capable of guaranteeing that it is injury proof

Question
How do you measure the head for a good helmet fit, so that it is not too small or too big?

Measure around your head using a tape, just above the eye brows and ears. Take that number and use it to compare to the sizing charts, if you are in the overlap between two sizes, I always go to the bigger size. Put it on, see if it fits, if so make sure the front is slightly above your eyes and does not slop around forwards to back and from side to side, should be snug but comfortable.

Measure 1" above the eyebrows around the circumference of the head. The sizing charts for what ever helmet you are looking for should tell you what size you need.

You can put a combo cage on any helmet provided the sizing is right. For example, you cannot put a large cage on a youth helmet. But so long as its a Sr. helmet and a Sr cage or cage/ combo, it will fit.

The M11 is being phased out by Bauer ( owns Cascade). They do not offer purple as a selection. Once the helmets are sold they will not be making them anymore.
