Questions & Answers for Easton Razor Bladz Steel (Elite)

Question
Will these runners work with the Razor Bladz 1 holder?

The Easton Elite Runners are compatible with the Easton RB1 Holders you have. The only difference between the runners you have (which I would think are the Easton Parabolic Runners) and the Easton Elite Runners are the perforations where the holder and the runner intersect. The holes where the bolts slide into the runners are similar widths.

The size you would need for a senior size 11 would be a 296. You can find the size on the holder of the skate at the heel where the rivet holes are located. It will say 296 L or R depending on which skate you are looking at.

Question
Is Easton replacing the LPS2 runners with these Elite's?
It seems like they are fazing out the LPS2 runners in which they are getting hard to come by. All the newer skates have these runners instead. I noticed the LPS2 are 420 High Carbon Stainless Steel while these Elite's are 12c27 Stainless Steel. Why the change? Which steel is better?

It seems to be the way things are going with Easton replacing the LPS2 with the Elite version. There is still the LPS Lite if that can work out for you. The Elite is a great runner with some subtle improvements for comfort and weight.
