The thigh protectors are not curved initially but over time the Velcro strap that attaches them to your leg makes them become contoured to your thigh. (I used this product in 6 games)

I caution the level of protection they provide, especially around the knee area where the thigh board/wrap meets the leg pad. I took a shot directly on my knee where their is gaps in the protection when in the butterfly position. Let's just say it did not tickle and the only way to remedy that problem was to remove the thigh wrap/board and wear knee pads with the leg pads.

a girl in my league uses these pads and loves them, I don't know much difference between a girls league and a mixed league but she has used these pads for almost 2 years and loves them. And as for the price, I bought these pads earlier this year off this website for that price and I can vouch for them. They are very high quality and easy to use and get use to, I highly recommend them.

If you're playing more than 5 times per week as your profile indicates, then I would not recommend these pads for you. It's not that the quality is bad, it's more that the RX6 pads weren't designed for this much use. I think the RX8's might be a better fit.

Please refer to the sizing charts found on the right hand side of the page. There are a few different measurements needed to determine the right pad size...

A.Skates size: provide the skate size for proper boot fit.

B.Instep to knee: measure from instep to the front center of kneecap while leg is in slightly bent position.

C. Thigh rise: measure from front center of kneecap up the thigh to desire height.

A + B + C = Estimated size of pad

Currently, Bauer only shows one RX6 pad in inventory - a blk/white/silver 30+1. It doesn't look like they'll have more pads in stock until mid-December at the earliest. If the 30+1's will work for you, then it will take approx 3-4 days to get them from Bauer, and then another 3-5 days (depending on where you live) to get them to you.

If you have any questions, or if you want me to look into other pads for you, please email me at mbruins@totalhockey.com.
