Questions & Answers for Bauer Supreme One60 Ice Skate

Question
can you bake these skates?

Yes you may bake these skates. I did and I feel like it's going to drastically reduce the break-in time of the skate.

My first outing with the skate after the bake was fantastic, I was skating for about 3 hours and there was just a little bit of tenderness around the arch of my foot but no blisters or soreness the next day. I only expect them to get better from there!

Yes, The Bauer Supreme One60 Ice Skates are heat moldable. The skates would have to be baked at 176 degrees for about 5 minutes. Then when heated, have the user sit down and lace them up game tight. They should stay seated while they mold for up to ten minutes or until everything is cooled down.

Question
Is the one60 comparable to the old version of the Supreme one55 or do I have to move up to the one70 or even the one80?

The 80's are just a tad bit lighter than the 60's...but nothing you will really notice on the ice. They're also just a bit stiffer. There really isn't too much of a difference between the 60's and 80's besides the price.

The Bauer Supreme One60 is the closest comparable skate to the One55. It is just a newer version of the One55 with an updated look and a very similar structural design. It will still offer the same (if not better) support, comfort and performance that the One55 had.

Either skate would be great for that level of play. The Flexlite 3.0 skate is in Bauer's Vapor line and the One60 is in the Supreme line. They are cosmetically different from one another and made slightly different. The flexlite 3.0 is a Tech Nylon w/ X-Rib Pattern while the One60 is a 3D Trueform PU. Both will be comfortable and light, its just comes down to personal preference. The best way to see which skate suits you is to try them both on if you have the opportunity.

The Bauer One100 skates would be the most comparable to the older Bauer 4000 skates. The Total One skates would be the Top of the line skate that would compare with the older model Bauer 5000 Composite skates.Their are a lot of differences in skate construction since the 4000 and 5000 line was manufactured.

Question
Are these skates comparable to the RBK 6k skates?
I've heard these are great from my friends but am a Reebok fan when it comes to skates, I just wanted to know from someone that has used both Bauer and Reebok skates what their opinion is when it comes down to these two. I've heard great of both and money difference does not affect anything because they are of 5-10 dollars apart.

Both the Reebok 6K Skate and the Bauer Supreme One60 skate are both quality skates. The Reebok 6K skates have more of a wide fit throughout the boot and the Supreme One60 Skates come with a more narrow fit toward the toe. The Reebok line of skates also have a feeling of leaning forward on your skates. It will take a little getting used to when going to a Bauer Skate. Both skates are heat moldable for a more comfortable fit.

The Bauer Supreme One60's are a terrific skate that would suit a squirt level player perfectly. The great thing about the One60 skate is that they are very light, comfortable and durable while still being very cost effective in that you are not spending a lot of money for a skate that your player will soon grow out of.

Question
What is a good replacement for Bauer7000s that are too narrow?
I'm looking to replace a pair of Bauer7000s. I love the skate and they are in great condition, but they are killing my feet, specifically they are too narrow at the ball of my foot. My toes are at the end of the skate, but not jammed in. I currently wear a size 11 shoe and the skates are a size 8.0 D. Should I consider a different manufacturer or larger size?

You definitely need a bigger size. That could potentially eliminate your issues. Bauer skates are all fit the same way. If you are wearing a size 11 shoe you need a full size to a full size and half smaller than your shoe size.

The Supreme One60 would be a great skate for you. It is considered one of Bauer's "intermediate" level skates, so it will be good enough to support you now and grow with you as you get better.

Besides the obvious price point, the One 60's are a more advanced skate then the One 20's. The One 60's have a sleeker look and are made from higher quality materials. If you are just beginning to play the One' 20's are a great stater skate.
