The 7500 has a pretty wide fit - especially around the cheeks and jaw. To be honest, it's not a great fit for those with small head sizes. Also, it was designed for the beginner to intermediate level of play.

I'd suggest taking a look at the following masks instead:

Vaughn 7700 (size Med):
http://goalie.totalhockey.com/product/7700_Certified_Cat_Eye_Goalie_Mask/itm/4753-41/?mtx_id=0

Sportmask Ricochet, size Small (great for smaller, narrow heads):
http://goalie.totalhockey.com/product/Ricochet_Certified_Goalie_Mask/itm/9596-41/?mtx_id=0#size-chart

Bauer NME7 (Fit 1):
http://goalie.totalhockey.com/product/NME_7_Goalie_Mask/itm/3398-41/?mtx_id=0

CCM 9000, size Small:

Hope that helps. Contact info@totalhockey.com if you need more info. on any of these options.

Question
cat eye
My understanding was that a young goalie (squirt or PW level) could not use a cat eye design cage. Would this meet USA Hockey regulations for a goalie of that level?

The certified cat eye is allowed to wear in youth play. The pro-cat eye will be illegal in most leagues until the goalie is 18 years old. The certified cat eye has more bars around the eyes to give maximum protection with the cat eye style cage.
