The player should most likely make the transition from junior to intermediate sticks before jumping right in to senior sizes. The flex of a junior stick is typically a 50 flex. When you see your player really being able to manipulate the flex of the stick then that is when it is time to move to an intermediate stick which has a 67 flex usually. You can still cut the stick down if it is too tall for your player. The flex will be affected but it will not go as high at a 77 or 87 flex, which is what the lowest senior model flexes are.

The TotalOne would be lighter and have slightly better technology to them. However, for the price, there may not be a better stick out there.
