The x40 stick is made of composite making it a lighter more durable stick at 500 grams. while the X 15 is a Carbon-glass material that weighs in a little heavier at 535 grams. Both have low kick points and are right round the same height at 55-57 inches. Both the Bauer X15 and the X40 are good choices. If weight is an important factor for you then maybe the x40 is what you want.
