The Easton S14 stick has the same features as the very popular Easton S15 stick but you get it for a better value. The S14 stick comes with a matte finish which allows for quick yet controlled hand movements. The S14 is also a Limited Edition stick that was only offered to a select group of hockey retailers.

The S15 and the S14 are very similar in structural design and integrity. The S14 is about 9 grams lighter than the S15.

Its really a personal preference. No one stick is better for a specific shot type. Something weighing less will provide faster movement and quicker shot release in general.

The new S14 LE composite stick is essentially a limited edition version of the S15 stick with a matte black finish. It has the same elliptical shaft technology and the same blade construction. The S17 stick was replaced by the S19 stick which is Easton's top stick in the Stealth line.

The S14 is the same as the previous S15 which was a top of the line stick. The EQ40 is upper range stick but doesn't have the tapered hosel which (if you ask me) makes the stealth line have better puck feel. The Mako M1 is bottom of the barrel.

So I would say it's between the S14 and the EQ40 depending if you like the Stealth or Synergy style stick. I'd go with the S14.
