Take them to any local hockey shop who is bound to have a Skate Oven on hand. I DO NOT recommend trying this at home unless you've done it before, or have help.

answer 2
Place one skate at a time on a baking sheet in the oven at 165 degrees. Bake no longer than 8 minutes per skate. Lace up skate game tight after removing it from the oven. Make sure to tighten laces slowly to ensure the eyelets of the skate are not damaged. Keep the skate on up to 20 minutes. Do not walk around during the molding process. After removing the skate, tie it up again and let it sit for 24 hours. You can do the baking process up to 2x if needed.

Question
Compare the fit of 4.0 to SupremeOne60
I ask because both have the same "regular" fit in the mid-foot and in the heel but I have heard Vapors were more narrow than Supremes. I have wide feet. Would the EE width be okay if I was looking at this skate. Realize you have to try it on but just checking before I do that.

Supremes are built on an oversized last, so Supreme D = E. Vapors are built on a true width last, so Vapor D = D. Purchasing an EE typically also means that the heel will be wider, which may prevent proper heel lock and potentially lead to other issues. The toe cap on an EE skate will also typically be from a larger size skate. Best thing to do is get professionally fitted and try on many skates from many brands, then buy the one that fits your foot.

Question
I have skated in Bauer my whole life and am looking for new skates..
I have played triple A while growing up and D-1 Club in college. I am looking for a nice light weight, stiff boot, but don't want to go crazy as I only play men's league now. What would you recommend?

I recommend the Bauer X 5.0. It will have the stiffness and comfort you are looking for. Its a good mid level skate that is heat-moldable and lighter than the X 4.0.

The stiffer the skates are the harder they are to break in. The specific area you are referring to on the skate has a lot of stiffness and material. If its not comfortable in these places you may want to go into a wider size or even a brand that is known for being slightly wider, like Reebok.

Usually with brand new skates they do require a little breaking in time. Getting them baked does help, but just wearing them and using them is the best method. The skates will eventually break in and feel comfortable. If the tightness continues, maybe trying on a EE or bump up a half size to see what you think of those could be the answer for the next pair.
