The defference is the graphics and toungue and the x rib construction has been slightly modified. There also is a small difference in the ankle padding, it is lighter now. Also the quarter package may be slightly stiffer but not anything like the APX. Hope this helps you out!

All Bauer lines will fit the same no matter if you get Supreme or Vapor. The skate may have a different material or boot construction but the overall fit will be the same.

The weight difference between the sr x60 skates and the sr 7.0 skates is very slight. The sr X60 skates weigh about 1.75 lbs while the 7.0 skates weigh about 1.80 lbs. This will vary with different size skates.

Question
what is the difference between the apx and the x 7.0?
I used to wear the one90s . Loved them . Hated the total ones, too bulky . So i switched to vapors. Very comfy, but i skated faster in the supreme. So im hoping there is some middle ground here with one of these new models.

The fit of the APX is essentially the same as the X 7.O. The new Vapor models are slightly wider than previous models but still not as wide as the Supreme line. This makes the Supremes feel slightly bulkier even though on the outside they are fairly streamlined. Basically the Vapors are made for a slightly slimmer foot although the difference may not be evident to a lot of players.

They have the same stiffness throughout the entire Vapor line, so they would have the same fit as the APX.

Question
What size should I buy for my son who takes a UK size 10 shoe?
I am told that skates should be 1/2 a size down from shoes, so that would make it 9.5, and I believe US sizes are 1 up on UK? I am assuming therefore that a US size 10.5 would be right for my son? Can you please advise. Thanks, James

Converting a 10 UK is equal to a 10.5 U.S. shoe size. So therefore his skate size would be a size to a size and a half down from the 10.5. You are looking at a 9 or 9.5 sized hockey skate for your son. I would say the 9.5 should be the best fit.

Skate choice is always based on personal preference, so it's hard to tell a customer what they should purchase. Some players don't like to deviate from the brand they have used from the start. Switching to a different manufacturer of skates can be a tough transition if you're not skating a few times a week. The lightest skate on the market currently is the Bauer NXG at 1.45 lbs. for a size 8. All of the listed weights we have for our skates are weighed at size 8 for senior.

Reebok skates have been known to run slightly wider than other manufacturers. If you have a shoe size that runs wider you would need a EE width.
