They are anatomical and will over time break in to your foot, but as far as out of the box perfect fit, you'd have to move up to the X5.0.

For an advanced teenager I would go with at least the 4.0 and prolly even better will be the x5.0, the 3.0 are made well but the quality of the boot in the 5.0 is night and day and highly recommended.

The Bauer X 3.0 skates should have no problem lasting a season, depending on how well the skates are cared for. They are designed for regular play as well as standard wear and tear like any other model of skate.

Both skates are ideal for any player. The 3.0 is slightly lighter but both are heat moldable, provide stability, comfort and good protection. Either skate will work great
