Its not an overhyped name brand so you don't see it used by every other player out there. There are a few NHL'ers that use a Miken but not many. Its a solid piece of equipment that improved my game and its made in the USA.

The proof is in the pudding, as the old saying goes. IMHO, the durablity is way better than the other mega-marketed sticks, and you get just as much or even more performance. This stick company got it right for sure.

I bought the jr mv-3 for my son 7-8 yr old. Although the jr version is made in China, the stick is still better suited for him than any Bauer or CCM or Mission stick that he has tried. I only had to cut the stick down 1 inch and my boy can still flex the stick. His shot has improved dramatically. My only fear is durability given the country where it is made. He has used it in about 10 games so far and no problems as yet. Give it a chance. You may be pleasantly surprised.

After breaking many sticks made by Bauer and Easton... I can tell you from using this stick you are actually getting what you pay for a pro stock stick. A stick with great performance and durability (in exchange for some minimal additional weight) that is not cheaply made in Mexico. After all, true pro stock sticks are not made in Mexico, mostly in Canada.

It is also made in the USA, unlike everyone else's overhyped products. My next stick will be a Miken just for that fact.

The Miken stick uses aerospace carbon fiber that is extremely light and very durable. That continuous fiber technology really helps with maximizing the kickpoint on the stick which in turn helps the shot release to be quicker.
