I play with guys who put all their gear in the washer, but personally, I would be cautious of damaging the palms. I would do some research to see if getting the palms saturated with water will dry them out and make them stiff or brittle.

Machine washing and drying is not recommended. Your best bet would be to wash them by hand and let them air dry. You can also try some of the odor and bacteria treatment products we offer.

The Bauer 4-Roll glove fit similarly in both the 2011 and 2010 models. They have the same amount of breaks in the finger. Same sized gloves with have the same length of finger and spacing between fingers in each model.

the palms on these are really hard and crusty for me can i put them in the was with some fabric softner detergent? or how else would i get it soft? i heard shaveing cream?

It is not recommended that you put the gloves in the washing machine. That could potentially damage the material. The palms become harder when they are dry but soften up during use.

How open is the cuff?
I'm really fond of the previous Bauer 4-rolls, except the cuff, which I find too restrictive. How is the wrist mobility of this model compared to prior ones, and compared to other high-end gloves?

The 4-Roll is the widest Bauer has to offer with the Vapor being a tapered fit and the Supreme line being more of a snug, anatomical fit. The only wider glove I could think of may be the Franchise from Warrior.
