The 7480's are essentially a 7600/7450 pad with a one piece thigh rise and a flat face. The pad will still play "soft" (rebounds will stay close to the goalie), and the boot and the lower knee break still have a lot of flex in them to help aid in movements around the crease. As long as your butterfly is wide enough to be able to close the five hole without the aid of an upper knee break, then these are great hybrid pads.
