Of the two choices, the Vaughn 9400 would probably give you a bit more protection. However, neither glove was designed for the level or the frequency of play that you'll be subjecting it to. If you can afford it, then I would recommend that you think about the Vaughn 7460 or the Reebok 18K. Both of those options are built better, and have more protection, and they will last longer than the 9400 or the 14k. If you can spend a little more now, then you won't have to buy new gloves again in a year or two.
