I am 5.6 tall and I'm wondering what I should order the SR or the intermediate.

You're in between sizes a bit. If you have thinner legs, then you can probably wear the 7990i. If your legs are a bit longer and thicker, then you should go with the 7900/7990. Unfortunately, Vaughn doesn't have a sizing chart for these things but I know from talking to the Vaughn guys that goalies 5'6" - 5'7" and under with thinner legs fit the Int's, and larger legs fit the senior models.
