I previously wore the U+PRO with rocket runners, and have found these skates to be comparable if not slightly better.

The CCM U+10 is equivalent to last years V07 model. The U+PRO Reloaded was last years top of the line skate, most comparable to the CCM Crazy light of this year.

Question
Switching brands
If I have skated in CCM all my life (58 yrs old), would there be a disadvantage to change brand of skates? My skates I use now (2x/week) are Vac-u-tacks. What brand would be better? I have a narrow heel.

Switching brands make take a while to get used to and the break in process could be slightly different, but the switch won't be detrimental. If you are looking for a narrow heel in a skate then your best bet would be to stick with CCM. Out of all the manufacturers CCM is known for having a narrow heel.

CCM skates will all have a similar fit. More narrow in the heel and mid foot than that of a Bauer or Reebok skate for example. With the U+10 skate you will experience better quality in the construction along with more comfort with the customizable, heat moldable U foam, the F.I.T footbed and the Duratex liner.
