Bauer doesn't list the XR2 as heat moldable, they do list the XR3s as such.

The only difference is that the XR3 comes with a higher quality indoor set of wheels while the XR2 comes with a lesser quality indoor/outdoor wheel set.

Yes they can be heat molded. As a precautionary I have removed the wheels first, but you can leave them on if you would like. Just make sure the oven is on the lowest setting and bake them for about 7-8 minutes.

You could definitely get all 76mm wheels on the skate if you wanted. I'm not sure it would work all that well though.

With XR 4 skates you are getting an upgrade all around. A better chassis, wheels and bearings, as well as, added comfort and ankle support with the Dual Density Heat Moldable Foams. The liner is a Hydrophobic Microfiber material that aids in moisture wicking as well. All those changes from the XR3 to the XR4 skates are worth the additional 80$.
