The Labeda Cross Abec 9 bearings will work for any standard wheel. They will not work for mini hub wheels.

The best way without buying a specific tool would be to use a pin or needle to remove it. Their will be a small space around the rim of the bearing shield where you can insert the pin and pry out the shield.
