Great for middle school beginners or early high school in my opinion. BUT I had major problems with the blade cracking after a little less than a year. Go with something cheaper for a new player.

The Warrior Widow is a great stick for players of any age and skill level. The technologies involved with the production of the Warrior SE stick (which can be seen on the features tab on the product page) make this stick a great choice for all players.

The length is 59".
I'm about 5'9"-10", and a lie 4 (Warrior's lie 4 = Easton's lie 5) works really well for me. I tend to play more bent over, though, so if you're taller or you know you stand fairly upright, consider one of Warrior's lie 5 patterns.

Most intermediate sticks, when measured from heel of the blade to the end of the shaft, measure 56-57" in length.

Question
If I cut the stick from 60" to 55", how much will the flex increase to?

Hard to tell exactly, but that's a pretty significant jump. Probably around 10 higher. However, when Warrior says they added 3 inches to the shaft to avoid end plugs, I'm not sure if those three inches affect the flex. I would assume yes, but I'm not positive. Just expect a slight increase.

The general rule of thumb when trimming down sticks is that for every 2" cut its adds 7 flex, for every 4" it adds 15 flex and for every 6" it adds a total of 23 flex.

With the additional 3-inch added to the stick (explained in description) does that mean the stick is 60 inches tall?

No two intermediate sticks are exactly the same length. Usually they range in length from 56"-57". The Widow has the additional 3" added to put it somewhere close to 60" in length.
