This not a hard nor is it a soft. It's right in the middle but we would have to say it does lean slightly towards the softer meshes. Its comparable to the Brine Ultra Mesh.

The only real tell on heads to figure out if they are for experts or beginners is the width of the throat of the head (pinched or less pinched). The 6K would problably lean towards the intermediate level, but the higher end of intermediate play. The 9K and 10K are considered more of the expert/advanced heads while the 3K is used for beginners.
