Question
Are the side panels and netting above the goal detachable (if I just want the goal to play a game)?
asked 2 years, 4 months ago
by

on Goal, Puck Stopper Rounded Bac

Answers
answer 1
The netting above the goal is secured to the crossbar with 6 short lengths of string and each side of the top net is secured to the side panels by threading a longer string down the inside tube of the side panel. Each side panel is attached to the goal with 2 bolts & butterfly screws. Fully assembled and knotted off, it would take a while to remove the top netting, but you could make it quicker to detach by not threading the top net to the side panels thoroughly and/or not knotting. If you leave the top netting off it would take <5 min. to remove the side panels.

If you using ice or heavier roller pucks yes the backstop will dent from repeated hits at that speed. The backstop is better used for light balls / pucks and or younger players.

This is a pretty durable net. They has no been any complaints on it denting or bending. Obvioulsy it depends on the skill level of the players using it and how hard they can shoot. Regular game pucks can be used, but I would recommend starting with the softer rubber ones to to make sure it can withstand the punishment.
