Warrior Ritual Custom Pro Blocker

The Warrior Ritual Custom PRO blocker is brand new for 2012. Like it's counterpart, the Custom SE blocker, the Custom PRO features a collapsable palm, segmented finger protection, a flexible thumb guard, a contoured backhand cradle and a lightweight design.Unlike the Custom SE, the Custom PRO blocker board features bindingless construction, a single board curve at the cuff area, and a lower board position that places more of the board below the hand and stick. The Custom PRO blocker features numerous customizable options, many of which can be seen in the chart below. Custom colors are also available. CLICK HERE FOR A CUSTOMIZER. * Pro-level protection and sizing * Bindingless construction allows for a large blocking surface within pro spec limitations * Palm is placed 1 above board center to improve lower stick coverage * New segmented finger protection provides great frontal protection without interfering with stick grip * Exclusive collapsing palm allows for vibration dampening without compromising comfort and control * Contoured backhand cradle to keep board from rotating on the hand

answer 1
The curve on the bottom of the board, towards the fingers, is to aid in the goalie by giving them the ability to lay their stick flat on the ice in the paddle down position. The curve at the top of the board is meant to direct pucks up and over the net.
