Designed for the mid-high level goal tender, the Vaughn 7490 Velocity Goalie Catch Glove starts with the proven Velocity design and improves key features to provide more comfort, more control, and more performance. New for 2012, the Vaughn 7490 Catch Glove is styled directly from the 7990 series catch glove and it is an extremely high quality imported glove. The materials and construction processes used to create the 7490 series are nearly identical to those used in the 7990 glove, including the added palm padding and new laced break for an improved closure and quick break in. * Designed with a deep contoured catching surface and a new wider palm area to give more depth and surface area to the glove * Offset T-web pocket with skate lace lacing provides a larger pocket area and improved puck retention * Reinforcement along the top of the T-Web provides extra support along the top perimeter edge * Top cuff and thumb with molded deflecting ramp limit puck skip over and provide added stability in the top edge of the glove * New internal hand design gives a more vertical thumb angle and hand position * Dual adjustable straps over the fingers and back hand provide added security and custom adjustment * New anchored wrist strap for an even tighter fit and adjustment around the wrist * Wide cuff opening provides added room for increased wrist movement and performance * Three piece back hand protection with HD foams with deflector ramp over the fingers to deflect impacts away from the ends of the finger tips * Pre-Formed shape with flex seams on internal padding for game ready feel from day 1 * Heat moldable for a customizable hand fit * Extra padding in palm area helps eliminate stingers and control rebounds
