Customer Questions & Answers for
Vaughn Custom Sports 7260 Velocity 5 Catch Glove

The T 7260 Velocity 5 Catch Glove is a smaller version of the 7460 Catch Glove with a reduced size to fit the Junior or Intermediate goaltender. Users will find that this glove is slightly larger than most Junior gloves, however, making it ideal for young goalies looking for a Junior glove with a bit more catching surface. For 2012, the hand size of the 7260 has been increased 4% to be consistent with the larger glove perimeter. On the palm, Vaughn has added a laced break in the palm for a more consistent closure, and the thickness of the segmented plastics in the palm have increased so that they are now the same thickness as on a full sized adult glove. * Unique thumb tunnel for added glove control * Large catching surface with greater volume * Full access opening back hand padding for protection that can be opened for easy drying * Dual back hand control straps * Heat moldable for custom fit * Full flex seams in palm and internal padding for quick precise break-in * No binding cuff design for added blocking area * Flared molded front cuff for added puck deflecting and added wrist mobility * Double T web pocket reduces puck spin and helps eliminate pop-outs

Question
7260 Glove
I understand there has been a problem with the 7260 and that all the intermediate gloves from the factory have been made the same size as the junior glove. Is this correct?

No - this is not the case at all. The 7260 gloves are the old 7250's from last year that have increased in size by 4%. The 7250 was always a bigger glove anyway, so now it has been made just slightly bigger to bridge the gap in size between junior and intermediate. So essentially, Vaughn has eliminated the 7360 line and have gone with the 7260 instead. To get a bigger glove, you'll need to go to a 7490i.
