Real tough call as you are in the same boat as many being inbetween sizes. I have simialr issues in the shoulder pad department and feel that a large fits fine. XL in Reebok does tend to run a bit big, therefore adding to some bulk and not secure tight on the upper body. The large should be the way to go providing great protection without sacrificing your mobility.
