Customer Questions & Answers for
Reebok 14K Catch Glove

The 14K catch glove is a great beginner to intermediate level option that offers a great balance of flexibility and protection. For starters, the glove features a two-piece, injection molded cuff and thumb that is designed to create a wide, deep glove pocket. The stock model comes in the 590 design, which creates a traditional 60 degree closure (index finger to thumb closure). The pocket is somewhat deep, and the top of the T-web completely seals to the ice when covering the puck. The opening cuff in the glove is detatched, which allows for great wrist mobility. The backhand features two tigthening straps - one at the wrist, and one at the backhand - for a snug, customized fit. New on the 14K, the nylon webbing wrist strap has been run through the cuff so that you don't have to detatch the cuff to tighten the strap. * 2-piece injection molded thumb cuff design maintains 3D shape * Internal hand and wrist straps for easy adjustment * Offset single T pocket design for greater visibility in the pocket * Large cuff opening for freedom of movement and wrist flexibility * Perimeter Sizes: SR - 45, JR - 43

Question
What glove?
So I play Bantam A-AA Hockey and I need a new glove. My first question is would the 14k sr. glove offer enough protection for AA shots. Also my hand is right in between Int. an Sr. glove size. I want to make sure I can close the glove tight so that why im wondering if I should get an 18k Intermediate. I don't want a glove that is too big that I cant close well, either. So, would the 14k sr. close fine?

I would recommend the 18k over the 14k for Bantam AA hockey especially if you your on the ice between 2-5 times a week. The senior glove will have a permiter measurement of 45'' while the intermediate will be 44''. The senior glove will give you something to grow into while having maximum coverage and still be comfortable in the net. There are several ways to break in your catch glove so that it closes correctly; one option is to put it in a SKATE oven to mold your glove properly to your hand.
