Questions & Answers for Graf Canada LTD. Ultra G75 Lite Hockey Skate

Question
What is the difference between this boot and the previous G75 boot?
The Graf website listed this as a medium instep, and last year they listed the G75 as a deep instep. Has the boot changed, or has Graf's definition of medium/deep changed?

Graf makes a variety of skates to fit a variety of foot types. So, I wouldn't say only certain types of players gravitate to Graft skates. If you want a properly fitting pair of skates, go to your local Graf dealer where you can try on a variety of skates. The major brands only make a couple of models that fit the ideal or average foot shape. People buy them because they are uninformed and influenced by the marketing that the major brands do, e.g., give the skates to the NHL for free. Also, the pro's have their skates customized by the manufacturers or their pro equipment manangers. If you want to shell out the money, Bauer offers custom boots in the APX and NXG models for over $1,000. Not sure about the othe major brands. Personally, I have the G75's because Graf is the only maker that offers a true narrow fit, so they are the only brand that fit my narrow feet properly. They also happen to be great skates that are on par with the top end skates from the other major brands.

Chances are that the actual boot depth has changed. Very rarely do we receive a reason from the manufacturer for these subtle changes. It could possible be due to lack of sales with the previous years model. if you are able to go to a shop and try them on, that would be your best option. Graf skates are very different in feel than other manufacturers. They have a specific type of fit that only certain players gravitate to. As opposed to other manufacturers who make more of a universal feeling skate.

The Tuuk holders are 15-20 grams lighter than the NT5000 holders. Switching them out would technically make for a lighter skate, but we're not sure it would be very noticeable.

28cm would would equal a size 10 US. For skate size you would be looking at 8.5 or 9. Skates size is generally a size to a size and half down from US shoe size.
