Customer Questions & Answers for
Vaughn Custom Sports 7260 Velocity 5 Chest & Arm

The Vaughn VP 7260 Chest and Arm Protector features standard INTERMEDIATE sizing, and it is designed for the upper beginner to intermediate level goaltender. Sizing is optimized for a goaltender who has intermediate height but not as much shoulder width or body weight. The shoulders feature large floaters with high-density foam inserts, as well as larger HD foam and plastic shoulder cap protection which covers the shoulder caps and upper bicep area. A large, articulating sternum plate sits between the floaters for maximum protection and shock absorbtion. The chest and belly feature anatomically correct body pads with angled protective blocks for flexibility. A lower belly flap provides protection, and it also moves to help keep the main unit in place as the goaltender bends at the waist. The arms are constructed with a flexible base material with molded arm caps. Elbow padding is made of plastic and soft foams for comfort, and it features a four-point adjustment system for a custom fit. Large main arm floaters add protection and allow for improved puck deflection. Nylon lining on the interior prevents water gain and allows for fast drying. * Fully adjustable back padding * Adjustable wrist and arm straps * Flexible chest pad with belly flap * Cushioned padding on inner lining of chest pad * Molded arm padding and shoulder caps for superior protection

answer 2
If you're playing at an AAA level more than 5 times per week, you might consider the 7490i Chest & Arm instead. It is a little bulkier than then 7260 so you'll sacrifice mobility a bit, but protection level is much better. The 7260 is built more for an Intermediate level player.
