Customer Questions & Answers for
Bauer Pro Chest & Arm 2012

The Bauer PRO Chest Protector has been re-engineered for 2012. Though the new PRO model shares some of the same features as the 2011 model, new innovations and enhancements put the PRO among the top tier units in the industry.Starting at the shoulders, the floaters have been widened to provide more coverage, and new removable foam pillows have been placed on the underside of the pads for additional protection. Also, because these floaters sit closer to the neck for added protection, soft foam bumpers have been placed on the inside edge near the neck for comfort. The secondary shoulder protection that sits underneath the main floaters are made of plastic and HD foam, and their profile has been widened and squared off to cover more of the shoulder joint. A third HD foam shoulder joint protector sits below this second piece, which provides additional protection to both the joint and to the bicep area.On the chest, Bauer has added a new MAX-SORB gel and vent armour foam pad over the sternum area which runs from the base of the neck down to the belly. HD foam blocks provide significant coverage over the belly, and softer, LD foam pads extend around the side of the body for additional side impact protection. Beneath the belly pad (sitting against the goalie's body) sits a removable LD foam liner that can be removed for drying and/or washing. Like the 2011 pad, the belly protection features Bauer's Adjustable Belly System (ABS) which allows the pad to be raised or lowered by using velcro tabs on the back (at the neck area), or by attaching or removing the belly flap extensions at the bottom of the pad.New for 2012, the sewn-in arms feature an innovative, durable velcro Arm Adjust system which can raise or lower the length of the arm padding by up to 2 inches. Plastic caps sit comfortably over the elbows, and elongated, free floating arm floaters provide substantial bicep and forearm protection. * Square profile shoulder floaters * Removable padding behind shoulder floaters * New square shoulder caps * MAX-SORB reinforced sternum protection * ABS: Adjustable Belly System with removable extensions * New adjustable arm length * Removable internal liner for drying and/or washing * Plastic elbow caps
