Bauer Supreme One.5 Ice Skate

The Bauer Supreme One.5 Ice Skates are equipped with features that are ideal for beginner and recreational players that need a little more performance out of their skates. While the One.5 continues the rich tradition of the Supreme One40, it is a step up. The One.5 has a few more upscale features to enhance performance, such as: 3D Trueform woven-nylon quarter package, microfiber lining, anatomical fit-form ankle pads that can be heated and molded and an anatomical two-piece, felt tongue with a metatarsal guard that provides comfort, while also protecting against puck impact. The One.5 also features Form-fit EVA footbeds that enhance comfort while the dual-density beveled TPR outsole provides a lighter feel to the skate. Lightspeed Pro TUUK holders and TUUK super stainless-steel runners optimize height for the tightest turns. Together, the Supreme One.5 Ice Skates offer undeniable strength and comfort so that beginner and recreational skaters are reassured that they dont have anything less than Supreme Bauer performance.

The One.5 Skates are NOT heat-moldable. The next step up in Bauer's Supreme line, the One.6 is in fact heat-moldable as well as every step up from there. (i.e. One.7, One.9, TotalONE NXG etc.)

Question
Are these good skates for beginners?
I need a skate with decent ankle support, because my ankles tend to bend inwards. The skates I have now are usable but it gets uncomfortable towards the end of the public games. I don't know what skates I have now since my friend gave them to me. So do these have good ankle support? I'm still trying to get better at skating so I can play on my school's jv team next year.

These skates will be on the lower end for some one who would be on the ice more then 2 times a week even if you are a beginner. I would recommend something that will last longer and not make you turn around in a year and have to by new skates. I would look at item # 12157-41 and # 5858-41 as possible starting points.

Question
Are bauer supremes going to be better for a wider foot then a vapor skate?

The Supreme line has a natural, close fit around entire foot compared to the Vapor's standard fit in the toe box narrow and V-fit in the heel/ankle. The boot that best fits a wider foot is the Nexus line. They have wide, volume fit from toe to heel and the deepest heel pocket with soft feel.
