Question
Durability
How durable is the material that covers the pads (especially between the thighs)? Even with a shell, my daughter wore out her Bauer X20 pants in about 3 months. The nylon used in the X20 is really terrible.

Typically the nylon is rated at a 100-200 denier count. To compare, most equipment bags range from 600-1000. They are a thin entry level pant that unfortunately will not hold under the wear and tear of "normal" use as higher tiered models would. Nylon reinforcements can be purchased at local hardware and retail stores and this may be an option to reinforce the area that wears out the quickest.
