Customer Questions & Answers for
Easton Stealth RS Ice Hockey Skate

Easton has stepped up the protection level in the Stealth RS Ice Skates. The quarter panels are constructed with a fused-composite material, consisting of EPP, TPU and TPE foams. This collaboration leads to a lightweight boot that is stronger and more responsive, while also allowing for deeper heat moldability. This allows the skates to fit closer to your foot with less negative space and translates into a more direct feel with less power loss per stride. The outsole of the skate is protected by Texalium, a fiberglass fabric that has a trademarked finish and a thin coating of aluminum on the surface; this material translates skate flex directly to the ice and further minimizes power loss. Dry Flow venting ensures your foot stays dry and cool all game long. The tongue is lined with an injected lace-bite protector, which protects the top of your foot from soreness. The pre-formed felt and foam combination also helps the comfort of the skate on the top of your foot. The footbed features Giro's SuperNatural Fit System, which helps optimize comfort and enhances skating efficiency. The adjustable arch zone allows you to choose the amount of support needed, giving you a custom feel every time you strap on the skates. The Soft-Top Edge, where your foot enters the boot, is designed to be more comfortable and make Tournament Day soreness a thing of the past.Aggressive Razor Bladz II Holders and stainless-steel runners round out the package and provide a proven-skating combination.*Senior skate pictured*

My feet are more tapered shape i would say. I have a more wide forefoot and a small heel. Would these be a good fit for me? And what are the sizing specs?

In your case, take the EE size, and if you still need room for forefoot, then bake the boot following the instruction.

The heel of this skate is using memory foam, so it starts with very narrow space to "REMEMBER" the user's foot structure.

If you cannot go to local store to really try out any model of Easton skates, follow manufacture's guide, -1.5 from your regular shoe size.

I have thick and wide feet. I ware size 10.5 shoes because I need that width. Taking down 1.5 from 10.5, I should ware size 9 of EASTON skate. I did purchased this RS skate in size 9 EE. Thought it fit OK, but it fit even better after you bake it.

All depends on personal feel. If you are person that wears thick socks, going down a size and half might be the way to go. If you go with thin or no socks, down a size should work fine. Again, it's all personal preference.

I believe so. But the best way is go to local stores and just saying you are there for sizing reason, will buy skate later.

Then, ask for width D skates for trying. IT should fits you properly.

I think you do not see R width other than GRAF skates. Only GRAF is still using R and W size model and GRAF's W width is narrower than width D in CCM skates.

Yes D is the same as R. Some brands have different ways of describing " regular" width.

Yes, go ahead to get the EE size.

I am the same, thick and wide feet, inherit from my grand mother.....

I ware USA size 10.5 shoes for the wide feet reason. The 9.0 EE size EASTON skate fits my feet well AFTER BAKING. You do need to bake the skate.

I would suggest you get the EE. Once they are baked and conformed to your foot you will get that snug feeling. Easton skates are known to be the most narrow amongst all brands.

Question
Are these skates comparable to the Bauer Vapor X.70 ?
My son is 11 and we get new skates every year. he is 5 foot 4 and 120-125 lbs. His feet grow every year so we are looking for a quality skate that does not break the bank. We like Easton products, but have never bought anything but Bauer for skates. I am also interested if the fit of the boot is comparable.

The fit of the RS skates will be a little different. Bauer's Vapor line has a more narrow/ tapered fit compared to the RS line that has a more natural/ anatomical fit. The RS line is a higher quality skate than the X70's when talking about boot construction and better holders/runners.
