Customer Questions & Answers for
EDDY LT Certified Goal Mask

For over 20 years, the story behind Eddymask has always been proper the proper fit of the shell to the entire head. Coming from a custom mask background, the philosophy of the company has always been to create a larger range of fit without being sloppy and creating gaps between the shell, the foam and the head. In the new Custom LT mask for 2012, enhancements have been made to a popular design to create one of the most comfortable, durable mask that achieves the maximum levels of protection and performance. The shell is made of Eddy's multi-resin system, and also utilizes their proprietary solid sheet technology. The result of this construction process is a shell mold that achieves the optimum balance between resin and fiberglass to produce an increbibly strong, rigid shell. Shell rigidity is further enhanced by a new shell design that is sharper, and that has more pronounced ribs in the forehead and the chin. The more pronounced rib design also serves to eliminate flat spots in the mask, meaning that pucks will simply glance off of the main impact areas and will not impact the shell directly. In the Custom LT mask, this incredbly rigid shell design is made even stronger by adding a 22% more fiberglass and a layer of carbon fiber. The ridges on the mask's vent holes have been hand beveled for a rounded, smooth finish. The mask interior features a dual density foam which is 1/2 thick at the forehead and 3/8 thick at the crown, skull plate and sides. The foam layers are comprised of a higher density 8lb black foam that sits against the shell, and a perforated softer blue urethane foam that touches the goalie's head and face. The black foam provides great impact resistance, and the perforated blue foam is great for energy absorbtion and comfort. It also serves to grab the goalie's head and face during impacts to help keep the mask from shifting. This improved foam design is also 10% lighter than the similar foam design on the GT Ultimate III mask. The window opening of the Custom LT is cut deeper to give the goalie better sightlines and unobstructed peripheral vision. The cage options are all made of stainless steel for maximum protection.

Yes you can. We currently don't have LT's with NCCE cages in stock (as of 11.15.12), so your options are to purchase one separately and replace the cage, or we can order a mask for you with a pro cage. Wait time is between 2-3 weeks. Feel free to give our customer service line a call to discuss these options.
